A Brief History

As American Automotive Manufacturers struggled throughout the 1970's to produce a decent car, European and Japanese Manufacturers were busy coming up with safer, more economical cars. They got their break when there was a crude oil shortage in the early 1980's and their cars had a big advantage over those of the North Americans' in fuel economy. Since then, European and Japanese cars have been making a name for themselves for superior quality, reliability, and performance. This year, they will sell more cars than ever, and it's easy to understand why. With models like the S2000, M3, Z8, Civic SIR, RSX, Celica GTS, and the reintroduction of the ZX, this will surely be their year. And why not? The possibilities are endless for modifications, and the scene has never been more popular.

NOS is a very popular upgrade in the import scene, referred to as "giggle gas", it can give you a fast shot of 50hp when you need it, as well as cool down your combustion chambers, as it is released at -127F.

If you've got it, flaunt it, or so the saying goes, but hey why not. Clear hoods let the competition know that you mean business.

Drag racing in British Columbia is changing at an incredible pace. Technology is advancing at a steady rate, and the biggest part of the scene is in the import car region. Although street racing is very dangerous, and discouraged heavily throughout the Province it remains the main part of the scene. As the generation gaps widen, it is clear that the new generation of racers will be faster and more furious than the Muscle-car era.
